Laparoscopic surgery has successfully crossed initial hurdles and now has been established itself as an alternative to conventional surgery. With advances in technology and with better training facilities, it is likely to replace conventional methods for several surgeries

In this manual, we have attempted to deal with several aspects of Laparoscopic surgery, starting from ethics and patient safety, basic instruments and energy sources, till recent advances in the field of laparoscopic surgery. We hope that readers will find the manual very interesting and useful in getting an insight about laparoscopic surgery.
