5Preface
Biochemistry Laboratory Manual for MBBS (I and II) is an attempt by the Department of Biochemistry, Kathmandu Medical College (Basic Sciences), Duwakot, Bhaktapur, Nepal, to bring out a laboratory manual for MBBS 1st and 2nd years students according to the Kathmandu University syllabus. The experiments are sequenced to follow the theory classes and students will find themselves learning in the laboratory what has been discussed in the classes. All experiments are followed by exercises that test their knowledge on the basis of performing the experiment, its importance in diagnosis of disease and the basic sciences understanding required to comprehend abnormal results. The students are required to do some homework of their own to answer some of the questions.
We encourage our students to give us the feedback on this manual to improve it in future.
