Science and in particular medical science is an ever expanding field with lots of research going on continuously. Research not only in laboratory but also in clinical settings in terms of day-to-day patient care enriches us in terms of experience we gain.
This innovative book is an endeavor to present the practical experiences of leading dermatology practitioners from India in the field of individual patient care. All the chapters from contributing authors are from their personal experiences in diagnosing and treating difficult patient or their own innovations in treating various skin conditions out of their own experience. You will find lots of tips from senior dermatologists to help you in day-to-day practice.
The book is a collection of some rare to difficult to treat cases as well as treatment options which may be beyond standard textbooks. This book is an attempt to make PG students and practitioners understand importance of even anecdotal cases and innovative treatment modalities. The book is in no particular order and one can read any chapter in random fashion as per their interest in subject.
We hope that you all will love to read this book and everyone will gain something out of it.

fm13Foreword
I have the good fortune to write a foreword for the book on Tips and Tricks in Dermatologic Practice.
It is always said that common things are very common but that does not imply that rare diseases can be forgotten. A good clinician is the one who is constantly reminded of something unusual in a case which he examines. The diagnosis of rare and uncommon conditions has a lot of implications in their management. The book gives insight into rare and unusual cases written by senior and experienced dermatologists. Editorial Comments at the end of every case is worth remembering.
The authors have done an uphill task of coordinating the clinical material available to them and putting them in a readable manner. I give my compliments to the authors and hope they continue to serve the Dermatology fraternity.

fm15Preface
As all of us know that clinical dermatology is a vast field which includes common as well as rare diseases or common disease with rare presentation. Sometimes the diseases are recalcitrant to the evidence base guidelines or standard therapy so at this place experience comes into count.
In the world of clinical dermatology many diseases are there which can be diagnosed and managed by the experienced dermatologists by their knowledge and expertise which may not be according to the guidelines but the results are miraculous.
This book is an opportunity for all of us to gain from senior dermatologists who have not published their different but unique experiences which they are sharing with us. This may change our view to look at the disease in a different and exclusive way and also it will be of great help and guidance to the new budding dermatologists who may use these experiences as evidence in their future practice.
This book will share the experience and art of management of our senior and eminent dermatologists. This book will also include general tips and tricks in day-to-day clinical practice.
After all experience is the most valuable thing we can share with each other!
