ge7Preface
My teaching experience has convinced me that a nursing student will be relieved of her anxiety to take down notes, if she has a consized textbook covering the subject matter, thereby she can concentrate more on the classroom lecture.
The absence of such a textbook covering Sociology is a serious handicap felt by students and teachers alike, and this is a sincere attempt to fill the gap. This book can be used as a Sociology textbook for physiotherapy, nursing and other allied health sciences.
I have consulted the most valuable books available on sociology and thankful for the valuable sources that were available and were used in the preparation of this text. This book attempts to meet the educational and professional needs of the students and nurses to strengthen the services to the patients and the society. It motivates the students in understanding and applying sociological knowledge in their jobs and personal lives. This textbook has been written in simple form with suitable examples.
