Diagnostic hysteroscopy and endometrial biopsy must be performed before subjecting a patient to endometrial ablation to rule out malignancy. To ensure complete ablation of the mucosa a homogeneous and possibly thin, endometrium must be achieved. Both danazol therapy and the administration of GnRH analogs for 2-3 months is sufficient to adequately prepare the endometrium.
