This is usually performed for tumors of the palatine tonsils (malignant/benign) or as a workup for an unknown primary malignancy in the neck. Nasotracheal intubation helps in free movement of the robotic arm. Once again using the da Vinci Robotic system, the surgeon has taken us through the steps of a radical tonsillectomy.
