About Video

This video demonstrates the use of a tissue shaver to marsupialize a nasolabial cyst into the nasal cavity. The surgery is indicated when the cysts become cosmetically visible, get infected and become painful, or cause nasal obstruction. Nasolabial cysts have been conventionally tackled by endonasal or sublabial approaches. This video demonstrates a simple endonasal endoscopic procedure to marsupialize a nasolabial cyst. The added advantage of a tissue shaver as a debriding and aspirating device helps to reduce the surgical time, increase the precision and help maintain a clear field of vision.
