About Video

Facial aging results from a combination of universally recognizable skeletal and soft tissue changes. Over the years, methods to treat facial aging have evolved from invasive surgeries involving the superficial musculoaponeurotic system (SMAS) lifts to current minimally invasive techniques. The thread lift is one such minimally invasive technique, and has been well described for brow, midface, jowl and neck lifting, and universally accepted for the same. The technique involves the subcutaneous placement of cogged threads along a planned trajectory, following which they are pulled to achieve the desired ‘skin lift’ and then secured and trimmed at their points of entry. This video demonstrates the thread lift for the midface, a brow lift and a neck lift.
