About Video

This video highlights spreader technique for donor harvesting. The spreader is then positioned so that the prongs are aligned with the scored incision and is firmly pressed to penetrate the incision. The strong hand muscles are then used to open the spreader, causing the follicles to separate along a natural dissection plane. The spreader is then removed and repositioned progressively along the entire incision until the strip has been released. Any areas of incomplete separation are completed with direct visualization with a scalpel, and the strip is dissected free using standard techniques.
