This video highlights parasternal long axis transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) showing mitral stenosis (MS) in a patient with rheumatic heart disease. The anterior mitral leaflet (AML) forms a “hockey stick” as it tries to open during ventricular diastole. Note also aortic stenosis is present in this patient.
