This video presents a case study of a primigravida woman presented with a compliant of ruptured membranes and labor pain. In this case study forceps delivery is performed. It is a type of assisted vaginal delivery in which a health care provider applies forceps to the baby's head to help guide the baby out of the birth canal. This video presents history taking of that woman along with different clinical examination, such as general physical examination, per abdominal examination, per vaginal examination, per abdominal examination after 2 hours in which cardiotocography (CTG) trace shows late decelerations with preserved variability, and fetal blood sampling. Diagnosis includes fetal hypoxia during the second stage of labor. The result of fetal blood sampling is indicative of fetal compromise. The application of forceps appears to be the most feasible option in this case and a live male child with the APGAR score of 9 is delivered.
