About Video

This video shows various steps of minimally invasive far lateral lumbar discectomy. This video depicts intraoperative view of the surgical working channel depicting the anatomic landmarks for a far-lateral discectomy. Anatomic structures are better visualized after removing the intertransverse septum; visualization of a herniated disc compressing and displacing the L4–L5 nerve root; and visualization of the decompressed nerve root following removal of the herniated disc material.
