This video clip shows two-dimensional transthoracic echocardiography: parasternal long-axis view. All the chambers are markedly dilated with extremely poor function of both ventricles. The septum is thin and echogenic, consistent with scarring and fibrosis indicating ischemic heart disease. Arrowhead points to a pacemaker wire (AO: Aorta; LA: Left atrium; LV: Left ventricle; MV: Mitral valve; RA: Right atrium; RV: Right ventricle).
