This video clip shows transesophageal echocardiography and four-chamber view. Yellow arrow shows a huge rupture in the free wall of left ventricle (LV) resulting in pseudoaneurysm (PAN) formation. Color Doppler examination demonstrates flow signals (arrowhead) moving to-and-fro from LV to PAN. Three-dimensional reconstruction shows distortion of mitral annulus (green arrow) produced by PAN which most likely significantly contributed to severe mitral regurgitation (MR) noted in this patient.
