This video clip presents two-dimensional transesophageal echocardiography. A 50-year-old female. Longitudinal plane color Doppler examination at around 90 degrees clearly shows the presence of 2 secundum atrial septal defects (numbered #1 and #2). A small rim is seen separating the defects from the superior vena cava (SVC) excluding a sinus venosus defect. (AO: Aorta; LA: Left atrium; RA: Right atrium).
