About Video

This is a recording taken from the apex area of a 74 years old woman. The murmur has the following features. It begins with the S1 and it sounds harsh and it ends with a pause before the S2. Most importantly it has a crescendo-decrescendo character, which is appreciable to the ears. One can recognize the typical cadence of the ejection murmur, S1…. peak …S2 Da…..Ha ….Da This patient had aortic valve sclerosis but no stenosis. This is relatively common in the elderly patients.
