About Video

This recording is from a patient with severe aortic stenosis taken at the 2nd right interspace. One can hear clearly the irregular rhythm (caused in this patient by ventricular premature beats). Whenever there happens to be a pause implying a long diastole, the murmur is seen to get louder in the beat after the pause. This of course is very characteristic of ejection murmurs. Aortic events are best heard along the Sash area extending from the 2nd right interspace all the way to the apex area.
