This recording is taken at the 2nd right interspace from an elderly patient with hypertension. The S1 appears to be split with an ejection sound. It is somewhat clicky. This is followed by a short ejection murmur. There is a high frequency decrescendo diastolic murmur starting with the good intensity S2. This is due to aortic regurgitation. This patient had ascending aortic aneurysm. The presence of the ejection click is consistent with it. The aortic regurgitation may be partly related to the aortic root dilatation as well.
