About Video

Perioperative transesophageal echocardiographic images in a patient undergoing LVAD. This video clip shows a left to right intra-atrial shunt by color Doppler through a patent foramen ovale pre-LVAD implantation. Closure of the shunt was initially unsuccessful at the time of LVAD implantation.
