About Video

This video clip a transesophageal echocardiographic 4-chamber view demonstrating an LV apical thrombus. The thrombus was partially obstructing the LVAD inflow cannula which was also at the apex and this led to abnormal LVAD function. This required surgical intervention with restoration of normal LVAD function after removal of the clot.
