This video presents the technique of anesthesia follicular unit extraction from the beard. It is critical to both the comfort and safety of the procedure. When anesthetizing the beard area, it is possible to achieve good anesthesia by performing a ring block along the margin of the jaw circling onto the neck. Then the field may be painlessly touched up with 1:200,000 epinephrine and saline solution for hemostasis.
