This video demonstrates first and second phase of surgical set-up. Set-up for dissection includes a cooling tower (a specially designed container to chill Petri dishes), a quad Petri dish, jeweler’s #3 forceps, two blade handles, Personna No.10 blades, a hemostat to remove blades, a small ramekin to dispose of used blades, a pencil, a graft-counting sheet, and a syringe filled with PlasmaLyte A to keep tissue hydrated. If using backlighting, a clear hard silicone board is preferred. (There are several names for this type of cutting surface depending on the vendor. If not using backlight, a moist tongue blade is used as a cutting surface.
