This video demonstrates patient care: cleaning blood clots. You should take a fine-toothed forceps and gently pick up the blood clot and peel it off the scalp, making sure that the grafts do not lift in the process. Once the entire blood clot is removed, the recipient area should be cleaned and sprayed with ATPv. If the blood clot is dry, then you need to make it moist and soften it first, then break it into smaller pieces and wash it away. Use normal saline to moisten a piece of gauze and leave it covering the blood clot for 5 minutes.
