This video clip depicts live/real time, three-dimensional transthoracic echocardiographic visualization of the valve of foramen ovale. Right parasternal approach. The arrowhead points to the atrial septum; en face view of the atrial septum from the left atrial (LA) side shows the valve of foramen of ovale (arrowhead) in the open and closed; positions. In the closed position, it completely covers the foramen ovale. The arrowhead points to a mobile flap of tissue at the junction of the superior vena cava (SVC) and the right atrium (RA) representing a remnant of right-sided sinus venosus valve.
