This video clip shows transesophageal echocardiographic detection of left subclavian artery branches. This video depicts mild atherosclerotic thickening of the vertebral artery (LVA) near its origin from the left subclavian artery (LSA). Pulsed Doppler interrogation reveals only a mild increase in the systolic flow velocity.
