This video clip live/real time three-dimensional transesophageal echocardiographic assessment of ruptured chordae tendinae. Arrowheads point to some of the ruptured chordae of P2 and P3 scallops of posterior mitral valve leaflet (PML). Both P2 and P3 scallops show prominent prolapse. As viewed by the surgeon, the aorta (AO) is at the 12 o’clock position and the left atrial appendage (LAA) is at the 9 o’clock position.
