About Video

This video clip two-dimensional transthoracic echocardiography arrow shows an echolucency within the myocardium of the ventricular septum, which has been reported in patients with this entity. This finding reflects glycosphingolipids compartmentalization in which the subendocardial layer is spared resulting in an echolucent area. Note that left ventricle (LV) function is poor. Arrowhead in this movie clip points to an intracardiac defibrillator lead. (LA: Left atrium; RA: Right atrium; RV: Right ventricle).
