This video the surgeon’s introduced the case series of various steps of Descemet’s stripping endothelial keratoplasty (DSEK), Descemet’s stripping automated endothelial keratoplasty, (DSAEK), Descemet’s membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK), and pre-Descemet’s endothelial keratoplasty (PDEK). Descemet’s membrane has received little attention until recently. Treatment of Descemet’s detachment and recent surgical advancements such as DLEK, DSAEK, etc. have once again put it under the spotlight. The Descemet’s membrane is very important and can be damaged in many ways. Such cases have to be managed carefully. Careful and elaborate preoperative assessment is mandatory to ensure that each patient will visually benefit from the surgery.
