This video showing relation between tip of bipolar forceps, the activated joint and bowel. During cauterization of tissue uterus should be elevated away from the bowel loop. Electrically activated joint of the bipolar forceps. The active joint may unnowingly cauterize the tissue in contact. Bowel should be retracted during cauterization. This seen against demonstration of effect of the activated joint of the instrument. Retraction of bowel loop with other instrument is always necessary.
