This video demonstrates steps of making in 23:25:27 gauge vitrectomy systems. The ideal way is oblique insertion of trocar-cannula system through the sclera at 15–30° angle or even less until bevel of the trocar blade is no longer visible, then redirect trocar-cannula towards the centre of the vitreous cavity or towards the optic disc. This is the accepted one-step entry. Both 23G and 25G trocar-cannula system are to be introduced by this one-step entry.
