This video shows steps of surgery case of symptomatic vitreomacular adhesions, where ocriplasmin injection has limited role, sometimes surgery helps. Triamcinolone-stained adherent posterior hyaloid face can be lifted up by making an opening with a bent 24G needle. Needle is bent in such a way that tip is always visible to the surgeon and it is parallel to the retinal surface. Suction of the cutter is used to complete PVD. Postoperatively, smooth foveal contour can be achieved.
