About Video

This video shows bimanual membrane peeling. It can be done by two forceps or a forceps and an illuminated pic. The forceps will pull the hyaloid centrally and another forceps or illuminated pic is used to separate the vitreous from the retina. The blunt part of the second instrument should be used to create the plane of cleavage. After the traction has been released, the retina becomes very mobile and more bullous. Now PFCL is to be injected to stabilize the posterior pole to carry the vitreous base excision.
