This video showing removal of subretinal bands. A forceps should be introduced through the retinotomy opening with closed fashion and then the forceps should be opened beneath the retina to catch the band and then remove it through the opening. Another approach to remove subretinal bands is going beneath the retina by everting the flap of existing peripheral large tear. This approach is especially helpful to remove long posterior subretinal bands bimanually with end gripping forceps and ILM peeling forceps.
