About Video

This video demonstrates surgery for myopic foveoschisis. Vitrectomy with PVD induction and trypan blue dye-assisted ERM removal is necessary if schisis changes are associated with ERM on OCT. ILM peeling (brilliant blue G dye-assisted) is a difficult step in presence of posterior staphyloma as tip of end gripping forceps may not reach up to ILM, but again it is mandatory to ensure complete removal of all tangential traction. Complete fluid-air exchange is enough without any additional gas tamponade.
