About Video

This video demonstrates surgery for optic disc pit with maculopathy. It shows vitrectomy in optic disc pit with maculopathy and triamcinolone-assisted PVD induction. ILM peeling (Brilliant Blue G dye assisted) is mandatory to ensure complete removal of all tangential traction. Barrage laser at temporal margin of optic nerve head to promote collapse of the connecting tunnel between optic disc pit and macula and complete fluid-air exchange is required with long-acting C3F8 gas tamponade.
