About Video

Air widens the field of view and improves visualization. Air stabilizes the retina because of the inherent spring like properties of a compressible gas (called ‘spring damping effect’). Air also reduces unwanted retinal motion. Air confines bleeding to the air-retinal interface and air prevents infusion fluid from flowing into the subretinal space.
