A case of abandoned cataract surgery with vitreous hemorrhage. Phacoemulsification completed with IOL implantation. Hemorrhagic retinal detachment detected after clearing vitreous hemorrhage. A large posterior pole secondary breaks, superonasal to the optic disk, extending to macula detected. Subretinal blood removed using back-flush needle. Retina was incarcerated to the RPE-choroid at the break margin. This incarcerated retinal tags released. Primary entry break was inferior at 6’O clock. Retina settled with fluid air exchange and all breaks were lasered. Silicone oil was used as endotamponade.
