About Video

This video demonstrates surgery for removal of subfoveal PFCL. Subfoveal PFCL bubble detected after removal of silicone oil. Removal of sub foveal PFCL is done by creating extra-macular small retinotomy by either 41 G cannula or by a bent tip 24 G needle, creating macular retinal detachment and then displacing the PFCL bubble from subfoveal space to that retinotomy site. Then PFCL has to be injected over the macula to displace submacular PFCL bubble. Settled the induced RD by performing fluid air exchange and then laser around the retinotomy site and long-acting gas C3F8 injected.
