A 21-year-old male had chronic early onset imbalance with bipyramidal weakness and characteristic eye abnormality. His father was affected with a similar illness. Identify the condition. It is classically found in spinocerebellar ataxia 2 and was first described by Noshir Hormusji Wadia from Mumbai. In other varieties of spinocerebellar ataxia it may sometime be present. There are many other conditions where the saccadic movement can be slow.
