Atlas of Neurology—A Case-based Approach
by Satish V Khadilkar, Kalyan B BhattacharyyaIt is a condition where movement of the hand takes place without the person intending to do so. At times the normal hand may engage in restraining the other one from moving and reaching for objects. The person may feel that the diseased hand belongs to another person and the movements are totally independent of his or her will. As in the video, the left upper limb is continually moving towards the right one and trying to control it, independent of his will.
