This is a variety of gait found in extreme spasticity in both the lower limbs. Owing to the hypertonia and the resultant spasm in the adductors, particularly, adductor magnus, the lower limbs are fully adducted and they cross while walking. Common causes include, cerebral palsy, spastic diplegia or Little’s disease, arthrogryposis congenita, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord trauma, etc.
